Rabia Ahmed, D.O.
Dr. Ahmed is a Houston native and grew up in League City. She graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with honors before moving on to medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She stayed in the area to complete her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. She was then thrilled to return home to League City to begin her practice.
She is very passionate about women’s health care and preventive medicine. She most enjoys getting to know her patients and working with each woman individually to tailor the best care plan or treatment. She invites questions and enjoys discussing options for treatment to make sure you feel informed and engaged in your own care. She is respectful of her patient’s distinctive concerns and is adept at dealing with the vast array of medical issues that comprise women’s health across all ages. Her training in obstetrics includes both vaginal and cesarean deliveries, operative deliveries, ultrasound, and management of the high risk pregnancy. She is passionate about breastfeeding and took part in her hospital’s Baby-Friendly designation during residency. She strives to ensure that each woman’s pregnancy and childbirth is joyful and also as safe as possible. Her training in gynecology includes both traditional and minimally invasive surgical techniques, as well as non-surgical approaches to common gynecologic issues. She believes that it is truly a privilege to care for her patients.
